Tabber HELIOS 5
Automatic Tabber HELIOS 5
Our HELIOS 5 flux free soldering tabber machine is designed for in-line, semi or fully automatic soldering operations of mainly five points for solar cells dedicated to non-conventional modules. Fine tuning is adapted to each single point.
Our HELIOS 5 is based on 6 motorized axes controlled by a PLC allowing a high degree of design flexibility and an easy adaptation to the customer’s requirements.
Unique patented flux free soldering
Thanks to our unique patented flux free soldering process, the cycle time is faster, the concept is more ecological and fully lead free compatible. Thus to guarantee no long term risk of flux dispersion.
Process in brief
The solar cell is loaded into the fixture from a depalletizer by means of air vacuum grippers. Both tinned copper ribbons are simultaneously pulled from the reels with special grippers and cut to the required length.
The position is checked by means of a recentering device while the lower ribbons are put in place.
The cell is then placed on a heated plate and maintained into position by vacuum.
Ultrasonic flux free soldering of 2x5 points is carried out on the cell and solidification of soldered points is achieved thanks to a special holder support.
Finally, return on the recentering position for quality check is carried out where the soldered cell is unloaded onto a palletizer.
Option:
- Quality and electrical check - solarization system (solar light simulation)
